Last weekend I attended my first crop since February 2020! It was so fun to gather with other paper crafters and create the day away. One project I wanted to try was a slimline card. This type of card fits in a standard letter envelope instead of a traditional A2 sized envelope.
The pattern of Peaceful Place DSP I chose for this card just screams to be used for a slimline card. The tall pine tree images are the same that were featured in October’s Paper Pumpkin kit!
Here are the measurements for the card:
Card base: Basic Black – 8″ x 9″, scored at 4″
Layer 1: Basic White – 8 5/8″ x 3 5/8″
Designer Series Paper – 8.5″ x 3.5″
The DSP really does all the work on this card so I did not want to make it too busy otherwise. I added a label from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and embossed a greeting from the Christmas To Remember stamp set using silver heat embossing powder. I also added a bow using the Black 3/8″ Glittered Organdy ribbon. The same ribbon in white would also complement the card well.
I Love these cards! I’ve made a stack to give to my parents to mail out.
Beautiful paper. Just clean and classic.
