It’s August in Ontario and that means that Peaches are in season! This is the ONLY time of year I even buy peaches because I like them ripe and not crunchy! There’s also nothing better than fruit in season in close proximity.
This was the perfect month to feature the You’re A Peach suite in my latest Stamp-A-Stack class. We had fun creating with the Sweet As Peach Bundle and the coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP). There were some fun fold cards in the series including a pocket card! Using a sponge dauber is a great way to create visual dimension to the peach stamps. For this class we used only Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, and Pear Pizzazz inks!
I love to include a small treat with each of my class packets so I knew instantly that I wanted to feature the mini jam jars for this class. I also LOVE fuzzy peach candies so I thought they would be perfect to include in the jars.

To make the jar toppers I cut a piece of the You’re A Peach DSP with the largest scalloped circle die from the Layering Circle dies. I used my hand to fit the circle on top of the closed lid which helped fold the scalloped edges around. I tied it up with white baker’s twine and created the label with a greeting and the flower middle (the Stigma??) from the Sweet As A Peach stamp set. I punched the greeting using the Double Oval punch and VOILA! This was a cute treat just big enough for a sweet snack during class.

Here are some pictures of the cards we made during class! So cute and fun with the DSP and the fun fold cards!

The pocket card was designed by my team leader Anne Granger and the Balmy Blue card was designed by Genevieve Ko.
