If you haven’t purchased the Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper (DSP) you are MISSING OUT! This stunning paper has sold out twice since May! I have already used so much of it that I’ve had to purchase multiple packs 🙂
Most recently I used it to create this fun money holder! I was in need of a card for a special tween girl’s birthday and I knew this paper would be perfect. I could not find a design on Pinterest I was too fond of so I created this one from scratch (that’s very unlike me…lol). I decided to also use the Scalloped Contours dies to create the fun scalloped edge on the DSP and create the label.
Here are the measurements for this card:
Card Base (Polished Pink): 8.5″ x 7″ – scored at 3″ and 6..5″
Belly Band (Polished Pink): 1.5″ x 8 5/8″ – scored at 2″ and 5 5/8″
Front panel DSP: 7″ x 3″
Inside panel DSP: 7″ x 1.75″
Inside cardstock panel (Basic White): 6.75″ x 2.75″
Frame (Pale Papaya): 3.75″ x 2″
Inside frame (Basic White): 1 3/8″ x 2 5/8″
I used Polished Pink cardstock for my card base and belly band. One full sheet of cardstock gave me both pieces. I chose Pale Papaya cardstock for the scalloped frame for the greeting. Both cardstock colours and 2021-2023 In Colors and both coordinate with the Expressions In Ink DSP.
For the sentiment I chose two stamps from the Biggest Wish stamp set. I love the contrast between the bold and scripty fonts in this set! I wanted to match the gold detail in the DSP so I used gold heat emboss powder for the birthday sentiment.
To embellish the card I used the Open Weave ribbon in Pale Papaya around the belly band and the finished off the sentiment piece with two Genial gems.
I just love how this came together and it’s perfect for holding cash gifts inside. This design would be perfect for a birthday, shower or wedding gift. The DSP is full of colour and elegance so it would be perfect for all occasions. Watch the video below to see if all come together.
