October 1 is World Card Making Day and this year Stampin’ Up! hosted a live virtual crafting event! I was so excited to set aside time in my studio to create with people all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n

Stampin’ Up! provided three card templates featuring three different bundles – one from the Annual catalogue, one form the mini July-December 2022 mini and the last from a NEW bundle called Warm Welcome<\/a>. You can check out the bundles and the supplies for the cards we created here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first card featured the Cottage Rose<\/a> bundle which I do not own however that did not stop me from crafting along! I grabbed the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set<\/a> and dies<\/a> and used the same supplies to create a similar card. I LOVE how this one turned out and I would have never tried these colours together on my own.<\/p>\n\n\n

The next card featured the new Warm Welcome<\/a> bundle which I also do not own yet. This one was a little more tricky to come up with an alternative but I decided on the Dragonfly Garden stamp set<\/a> and punch<\/a>. It was fun to use the Blending Brushes<\/a> to add Fresh Freesia and Mint Macaron inks to the dragonflies and then use the coordinating punch to add them to my card front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last card featured the Cottage Wreath bundle<\/a> which I did purchase for this event. I took advantage of the registration bonus which was a FREE package of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels<\/a> with the purchase of one of these bundles. We used those pearls on every card, colouring them on the first two cards using Stampin’ Blends!<\/p>\n\n\n

This last card used water painters to create a watercolour background on Shimmery White cardstock and then we die cut the wreath and bow for the card. I think this was the first time I had ever done this technique and I will for sure be doing it again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All in all it was a fun event and I ended up with three cards ready to share with others to celebrate World Card Making Day! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
